I flew in today, the FBO is unbelievable. Beautiful with a very swanky pilot's lounge. I think I would get spoiled if I flew out of here regularly!

Nice facility

I recently landed at Dwight with my C340.

I was very surprised at the high terrain and trees at the approach end of 27 and 02.

The grass is not smooth but tufts of grass separated by dirt. Still very safe but noisy .

Be careful at the approach END of 27 as it is sandy and soft. I got stuck but very helpful workers towed me out.

Beautiful countryside and very cooperative enterprise Car Rental in Huntsville.

Learned to fly at this airport

Granite aviation does such great job and there is always interesting planes and people at this airport.

VOR Freqency

I have notice that the information page for Navigation for TVSA is missing. For example TVSA VOR information is missing, while other nearby airports VOR are listed. Is TVSA VOR inop? Or is it that no importance is given to ensure the web-page reflect the correct information for people in the aviation industry that will seek out this page for correct and up to date information for airports in St. Vincent & the Grenadines?

Name Change

Wrong name, should be : Alderman Farm Airport

Ediz Hook K NDB is 338 kHz not 317 kHz

Ediz Hook was a marine NDB on 317 kHz but the frequency was changed to 338 kHz May 2010. Ident is still "K" - the last single letter NDB in the USA!

Sebago NDB 227 kHz Decommissioned

P.S. The marker is a half mile north west of the actual airstrip.

Picture of

Mule Creek

Mule Creek is a 4000X75 emergency grass strip. It is littered with gofer holes, but usable for bush planes. The Haines highway gets socked in quite a bit, so it is nice to have this option.

re: History Of Rose Aviation on Hawthorne Airport from 1963

I was a line boy there in 1973.

I worked there for while. It was nice place to work. I was an A & P Student at. Northrop Institue of Technology. Her mechanics help me learn about airplanes. They needed me to work more hours. I. Couldn't I was a student studying hard. They "let me go"

Good airport

Landed here June 2017 and again April 2018... nice facility, clean restrooms and lounge. Drinks in the fridge and Chase is a friendly and professional airport manager. They have a courtesy car and can also arrange rental vehicles... ask Chase about that. Decent fuel prices and nice folks... I'll be back!

Nice strip, tie downs and great bunkhouse accomodations

Landed here in April 2018 and found the strip in good shape with solid tie downs. No fbo/fuel, etc., but the Park Ranger will come pick you up and take you over to the visitor center and bunkhouse. Just make a low pass near the visitor center about 1/2 mile west of the strip, then land... the will come pick you up in about 15 minutes. They were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The bunkhouse is quite nice... full cooking facilities, comfortable mens and women's bunks, hot showers and restroom, refrigerators and freezers, etc. No restaurants so you have to bring your own food and drinks. They do sell ice, a few snacks and some drinks at the visitor center.

Beacon Cafe

A great place to fly- or drive-in for food. Not your typical airport cafe.
