Confusing aircraft placement. I've got to assume that YWIO is the same as Picton for which I can not find an airport code. The map is so close.

are you sure you where scammed. such thing happen and when it does i presumed you sue that company. Death during transportation can't be avoided reason why you pay for insurance. i will advice you demand a refund or preferable sue that company in court. i know that company and they successfully delivered my Yorkie from Algeria to the states, so double check what you are talking about.
Snowy Owls seen at airports in Ontario
Hi, I am currently looking for Snowy Owls. They seem to be a bit late this year (2011). These white owls love airports and use them for hunting grounds. If anyone sees one could you let me know. Once can also land in the nearby salt pan (all fences have been removed from within the salt pan).
Most bushes have been cleared along the main road cutting through the farm yielding many possible emergency landing opportunities.
The cross runway cannot be seen on the map above.
Great place to land in the Kalahari, accomodation is available, so is transport to Windhoek and the International Airport.
This place is also a great guest farm in Namibia, (Gaestefarm).

It looks like a forest and, yeah, it is a forest and definitively not a heliport.
Maybe the heliport of the hospital about a km west was meant, although that one is not open to public.

We begged and borrowed to get his money and after it was paid I waited at the airport. No puppy ever arrived, the airline said no puppy was ever booked or boarded on that plane. I then received e-mail from the owner selling me the puppy that said there were complications when he was flown and the money wasn't for insurance it was a vet bill to keep my puppy alive. They then told me the puppy had died while on the flight. The Starpet Movers contact who is Thomas Gadner has now had his phone disconnected and nobody will return my e-mail. I am scared and don't know what to do, I am out $400. Please help if anyone knows what to do"
There is nothing you can do. You are out $400 that you will not get back. Keep in mind the "puppy" doesn't exist. This is a well-known pet scam out of Cameroon Africa that is all over the internet. ALL OFFERS OF PETS FROM CAMEROON AFRICA ARE SCAMS, WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS.
Elevation
Just got an email from a user of the CoPilot iPhone app saying that the elevation isn't 118 ft, it's closer to 500 ft. I wonder if that means it's really 118 metres? If you go to the terrain map you see an unlabeled contour line and then another labeled 200 m as you head uphill from the airport.

Some Companies have "Unknown"
Why do some companies, eg Iberia have "unknown" and I have been told that it was due at 10.50 and 11.20. Now I wonder if it arrived and whether one must go and pick-up the passenger that we expect to arrive today

I m so sorry to see that so many other pet lovers got fooled like me . tnx god i lost only 180Euro cause they did a stupid mistake and then i realized that something is wrong . on suturday morning the woman named ROSE CLIFF informed that i had to pay for the insurance of the pup . in first i said that i wont sent any more money cause i dont have any and moreover i wasnt informed about the insurance etc she said she would go ask the agency explain her why is the insurance needed and if there is another way to skip it but she said that the agency was closed on weekend so i told her to go get it bc home with her and keep it. but when she told me that they would call animal lover center to get the pup or give it to the zoo , i felt guilty and sorry for the poor pet so i decided to go send em the insurance money on monday . BUT ON SUNDAY they made a MISTAKE ! the agency sent me a mail where to send the money !!!! so now what the agency was opened ?!?! i googled petsflyers douala cameroon and found out about the scams !
i feel disgused by those kind of peeps hope police get em someday and make em pay for deceiving so many pet lovers this way !

This is an important airfield and should be revived as a an airport to release pressure on calcutta airport. This could serve the people from outside Calcutta. The Videocon had shown interst in the past to build an airport there

Reply to @david: I agree with the assessment that Reid-Hillview is a friendly airport which offers a range of services. I would add that it is a convenient airport as well. I am amazed with its close proximity to downtown San Jose and far less hassle associated with getting in and out of the nearby San Jose International airport that more business people traveling via General Aviation do not utilize it.
The airport has the potential of becoming an even better airport if the Santa Clara County folks who oversee it would realize that it would be to their advantage to allow a restaurant to re-inhabit the terminal building.

This water landing area is active once a year for the Scalaria Airchallenge, a European floatplane fly-in and airshow.
Nice Place to stop
The FBO at plymouth is very friendly and there is a wonderful resturant with airplane parking right out front. Just a 10-15 minute hop to Provicetown Municipal. Which is a big advantage over driving, because driving take at least an hour and a half. Also easy quick access to Hanson, Boston, hyannis, Nantucket, Chatham, and Martha's Vineyard. There's an air shuttle to take you to Nantucket and the Vineyard. 10 minute drive to Plymouth center. Rental cars are available.

The rude controller was a big pain in the rear end, and was finally "persuaded" to resign.
The county supervisors and the city now support the airport.
It's a very friendly airport now. Airport terminal has snack, soda and coffee machines. Airport Shoppe (open Mon - Sat, 9-5) has a wide range of pilot supplies plus prepackaged sanwiches and similar food items. Four flight schools - including tailwheel, vintage and aerobatics at AeroDynamic Aviation. Two maintenance shops. Cessna dealer. 24hr self serve gas plus three truck based fuel services.
Time to visit again!
