Closer to Chandler
This airport is actually closer to Chandler (a much larger community) than to PercΓ©. It's a small rural strip that's not always attended, but doesn't have the landing fees, etc., of the larger GaspΓ© airport to the north:

Treviso-Venice Airport
Finally one quiet, dissent and possitive airport in Europe. Espresso is just amazing. Staff busy but smiling. Weather always sunny even when is raining. Thank you Treviso we will come again, indeed.

The airport authority is collecting the landing fee, while Nav Canada is/will be collecting the usage fee.

If you're paying a fee for landing, isn't it pretty much a given that you're also going to take off? So why don't they just increase the landing fee rather than imposing a takeoff fee as well?
New Airport
I just landend on this quite new airport (Dec. 16, 2007). Only LAN and the less known Sky Airline operate flights to CPO (official three-letter-code). The airport is small and efficient. No airbridges.
The old airport - known as Copiapo/Chamonte was about 30 miles to the East, closer to Copiapo. If you search for CPO in Google Earth, you can still see the old airport.

Unfortunately, Google Maps cannot display a location right on the poles, so (as of 2007-12-17) there's no map or satellite picture available for the South Pole Station.
Hodges Airpark
They have a pilots breakfast every third saturday. Good Crowd and conversation. Many times those with planes will head up to Brair Patch for a Sport Plane Club Meeting later that day.

New International Airport
Hi, Its new one of the fastest growing international airport. Currently handling only Air India Express International flights, Due to lack of facilities !! Plus other number of domestic airlines.

I hear scheduled flights are going to start soon from Wonderboom? Apparently this will happen next year sometime and routes will open to Cape Town, Durban, PE and George. Has anyone got more information?

Flyboys Cafe
We took the family on a flight to eat at Flyboys Cafe. This is a great find. We arrived about 5:30 p.m., and the staff was eager to serve us. The place is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Our server, Kay, provided exceptional service to us. The food was great. Their as they say, "soon to be famous" Flyboy Burger is the best meal I have had in a long time. By the way, you have to try their dessert called Bananas Foster. It is tops. Great place, and we all highly recommend it to all!

I have my doubts about several of the airports that came from that particular user. I've got 529 Australian airports from him, so I'm reluctant to delete them all, but I'm also reluctant to verify them all.

I agree -- I can find no evidence anywhere that this airport exists. It came in some user-supplied data from navaid.com, but I'll probably delete it unless someone has a better source.

So where is it? The coordinates seem to put me into a hillside of trees.
I can't seem to locate the airstrip in the surrounding area even though Google Earth is high definition.

On arrival at the Bunbury Airport, be sure to call into the newly renovated Aero Club building. We are open 7 days a week and our pilot shop sells maps and charts. Come and say hi and have a drink on the deck for a great view of the strip!

Greg Turner runs a first class operation at this airport.
Fine facility at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
5000' runway, nice approaches, and super nice people. Lest I forget, there's also the 57A cafe next to the terminal. It's not haute cuisine but it is convenient and the pretty good.
Middle of flippin nowhere
I flew Ryanair out of this airport once. You have to take a bus from Frankfurt to get here -- it's about a two-hour ride -- and it leaves at 5am. I slept on a bench in the train station. Good times.
Big bad Metro isn't so "bad" anymore!
For years Metro Airport was the poster boy for dark and dank terminals. It was a truly disgusting airport.
Today, it is state-of-the-art in every way. I love flying through here.

I don't remember all the fees and fuel prices from my visit in the summer of 2006 -- they weren't onerous, but they were enough to annoy. On the other hand, it's a well-maintained, all-weather airport with easy access into the town of GaspΓ© as well as the Gaspesie region. For a less expensive alternative, there's Du Rocher-PercΓ© (Pabok), which is slightly closer to the tourist town of PercΓ©:
