Stopped here by chance
What a great "quiet" little place. Stayed the night on a long cross country. Two courtesy cars. Stayed at the Lazy B Motel. Clean, cheap and safe. Afton is what I'd like to see more of in America. Less corporations and more unique mom and pop businesses. Good food at the Elkhorn Cafe. The local talk will be kids, cows and horses. Check out the photo of Jesus holding a shotgun. Only in Afton! :) I will return!

Woodbine Airport
Yes, Woodbine is a very nice airport with great runways, but I take offense that the banner pilots are crazy, in fact the banner pilots at very professional and take flying seriously.
Parking Scam
UNBELIEVABLE...is the one word that comes to my mind when i think of parking my car in Chennai airport.I stayed inside the airport for exactly 10 min 35 seconds and i had to pay Rs.135 for those extra 35 SECONDS. Believe it or not, A guy can easily have 2 meals in Chennai with that money. India is not a country like the US or any other developed country for that matter.We are already burdened with taxes, corruption,fuel price hikes and not to mention the ever greedy and obnoxious autowallahs etc. How can we improve our living standards if we get ripped off like this every single day by so many factors. No wonder there is a huge amount of people moving out every year. If India wants to retain its talent and improve its economy, the government needs to know that siphoning off small change through taxes, price hikes etc will only f**k them up in the long run and they cannot afford to piss off the citizens who are the most important resource in the country. People are getting smarter every day and the day is closer where there will be a truly democratic government. Beware u babus, netas, sonia gandhi, modi, karunanidhi, jayalalitha. The INDIAN is aggressively rising to change the way the world looks at India. You can either help him in his endeavors or incur his wrath and get destroyed.

Well said. a great location and welcoming crew. you will not be disappointed if you either drive or fly in here. if you are thinking of tail dragger training, this is the place to go. Probably the best range of tail draggers in Australia. minimal traffic, short hop to the training area, minimal wasted time in the circuit or on the ground. good value for money.

International Flight to Bacolod?
Hi, I am a Singaporean and really like to know if there are plans for Bacolod Airport going international.
I have to fly to Bacolod about 4/5 times a year and presently have to transit at Manila or Cebu. In fact, Cebu Pacific Airlines has direct flight between Singapore and Iloilo since 2013. Bacolod being the top 10 cities in Philippines should have an international airport soon.

Ladies Toilets
There was a cleaner at the ladies toilet who was simply waiting for weary passengers and was insisting we pay her some cash for cleaning the toilets.
I did not see any notice to that effect. I have traveled several times in and out of OR Tambo Airport but never experienced this demand.
What next ? do we have to pay for a toilet roll before entering the toilet ?

I flew in via Canada. Northway didn't wish to send anyone down late so I flew direct here from TOK (precleared for a technical stop) and Canada. Customs is around by gate 6 at the main terminal.

This place sucks for tie downs! Had to chip away at concrete to free up old concreted over tie downs. Not a friendly transient airport, long was from town and lodging. Only one taxi.

Villeneuve Airport
No preparation was made to make this Edmonton's alternative GA airport before closure of Edmonton's City Centre Airport (Blatchford Field). Airport services are terrible. There are no vehicle rental kiosks and no restaurants. The airport is too far from the city. And the airport has no web page!! How the heck does this airport attract any visitors with no web page? This is a terrible airport.

I am married with malaysian muslim, here in cebu city and also converted to islam already.
Now im planning to visit my husband for tourist only of course, I dont have work as same case with that lady "rizza" my husband dont want me to work. And my question is I only have documents which are my husbands copy of his passport and with chops the time he come here, and our , arriage certificate which is only local from civil registrar but have auhentication of NSO, why I dont have NSO because i file correction of spelling and date and until now its still processing for endorsement, I can get NSO copy after 2 to 3months pa po. I also dont have an invitation letter from phil.embassy sa kl kasi po wla namang kakilala ang husband ko na pinoy doon pra mging sponsor at witness. So hindi siua makakagawa ng invitation letter. About sa finamcial po meron aqng mga receipt ng remittances din, bank statemnt ng husband ko at employement letter nya, IC, BIRTH CERTIFICATE nya din po. Meron din ako pocket koney kunti. Ok na po bah iyon makakapasa na po ba ako??tulong nmn po.

Some people seem confused. There were actually two Berz Airports. The first was at Crooks Rd and Maple (16 mile) in Troy, that was sold to Rockwell in 1967 or 8. Then the new one was started at 22 mile and Hayes in Macomb Twp.

Clearing Customs from Canada to USA at Ross International Ai
One of my biggest mistakes in 20+ years of flying. I took my Cessna C172N in to what is known as Ross Inteernational Airport. Nice name but a poor excuse for an airport let alone 'International'. Just about bought the farm on this venture. Rough sod, no facilities and the Customs Officer was unfriendly because I didn't phone 2 hours prior to landing even though I had phoned earlier in the week and completed the e-aptis thing, my bad I guess. Taking off was the test, picked the wrong direction, slighly up hill, thought there was no wind but there was in the wrong direction. I really thought I was going to end up in the vehicle border crossing building. Should have taken off west and taken my chances of crashing into the cemetary. Never going in there again.

One of the worst Airports visited in recent times.
Dirty overflowing toilets. There was water all over the toilets. As one toilet was already overflowing, I wneto the other one at the other end and even that was overflowing with puddles of water all around. They stink worse then Public urinals

Whilst the Americans may claim this as a wonderous overnight creation of theirs, generously funded by the US taxpayer without the slightest hint of ulterior motive, I reckon that Jiyanklis Air Base is actually the site of LG226, part of the former RAF Gianaclis and thus over 70 years old.

Great little airport with plenty of action
Grenchen Airport is perfect for learning to fly, has hard surface and grass runway 07 / 25.
There are many nice special events, like the helicopter-weekend, and the modelaircraft show, besides parajumping and glider activities.
Or, take a scenic ride in a vintage Antonov AN-2, the largest biplane ever produced (which is stationed there) to the beautiful swiss alps and back, always a wonderful experience. Space for up to 12 passengers, flown by two pilots. See: http://www.avschweiz.ch/
The airport also has a Best Western Hotel & restaurant.
