My wife and I flew into Hamilton airport about five years ago or so with Globespan from Newcastle England.It was really handy for getting to Toronto and meant we could avoid all the hassle of Pearson.Sadly Globespan went bust not long after and that was the end for Hamilton and flights from U.K. I think.We really loved our stay in Canada...wonderful friendly people and an awesome country.

Airport closed - full time landfill site
This fill activity, and others undertaken locally by the same operators under similar circumstances, has been -by several nautical miles!- the largest single provocation and instigator of changes to the way TC oversees the construction or expansion of aerodromes in Canada..so I had to go see.
There are a couple of old airplanes onsite along with the remaining threads of a windsock blowing in the wind.
The fuel pumps are still there, but not functional and in terrible disrepair. The pilot lounge no longer exists.
Airport is listed in CFS as ARCAL-X, but assuming it has not worked in years since almost every single runway marker light is smashed and runway looks very unused and unmaintained - other runways (06/24) removed and filled in.
Access to property is limited to large construction vehicles only which I understand from a driver/hardhat I spoke to amounts to approximately 400 a day....every day...rain or shine.
Unfortunately it looks like an ambitious and promising airport expansion may be the 'bait and switch' some people have predicted.

there are no drinking water facility or toilets for visitors at the international departure new terminal, then why am i paying 60 Rs for? the airport has dogs near the garden areas, good luck getting international recognition next time. why cant you give a 15 min grace time for cars ? even world class airports give at least 15 min time-window to get out of the airport and Chennai airport which is just plain shit when compared to even other Indian airports give only 5 to 7 minutes ? why are we paying airport tax along with our tickets for ? why no transparent governance is present ? why not have a proper website for a start, your display boards says "scheduled" even after my family have landed, arrived and met with me!!! Melbourne airport even has a radar map to show location of flights and you cant tell us if the flight has safely landed... BRAVO F***ERS !!!

You may describe Chengdu's airport very modern, light and airy design because that depends on how you see, but common, where have you seen (plenty) of fruit stalls? Everybody can see what is there and what not; you can not make it up. What's the point.

Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is, according to me, a good airport : it is clean, not too big so it is easy to see where you have to go, unlike Paris Charles de Gaulle ! This airport offers some interesting destinations in France, Europe and the whole world ! :)

Petawawa NDB (YWA) Heard Back on the Air Again!

I’ve been monitoring 516 kHz several times each evening before midnight in hopes of hearing “YWA” again I’m happy to report that on March 2, 2014 at 9:40 PM EST I heard “YWA” on the air for the first time in about two months of silence! I monitor “YWA” for medium frequency radio wave propagation study. Thanks again 73, George N2CG

Mmmm. Reading all the blogs it would seem that there are a number of SOB's with nothing to do.
In fact, I am one of those SOB's and do know 5 other SOB's who have said it as it is.
Perhaps if the operators at Aldinga would take note, and undergo a Anal Optasectomy to sever the optic nerve between their backsides and eyeballs they may have a better outlook on life and stop poohing on others nor acting as they are Gods gift to the Australian Aviation Industry.
Many airman died to protect their Pommie island. Poms, Canadians, Americans, Cheks, Poles, South Africans, New Zealanders and Australians.
( Perhaps they should remember that the POMS did not really win, the Germans lost)
And then when the flying Club at Aldinga celebrated the Battle of Brittan, one of then came running out of their sacred ground and abused the Flying Club members in front of everyone as they did not like the flying. Strange is it not, when you think that they would be thankful that their sorry bum was saved by so many who sacrificed their lives for them. They are a weird mob alright. So I, as others will, will wonder just who real the SOB's are.

If that is possible. So go away and start calling us who say it as it is some worse names than SOB. Oh and by the way, the biggest stone thrower and dobber at Aldinga cannot even fly an aircraft. How good is that?
My first flight
This little airport opened about 1968. They had free airplane rides. I went up with my Mom and a guy I later went to Navy boot camp with. The pilot, Mr. Charles Jones had a Cessna 172, the best I can remember. We flew over my hometown. I was kind of scared of flying, or the idea of flying, then. Got to start somewhere!

the great way to clear dis problem.
i was blocked for a zippo in my bag in the Philippines airport last month. he told me to give him something so that he will allow me to bring it . so after i changing all the dollars so i have left 28 peso in my pocket so i gave the guy 28 peso to get my lighters back . hahaha
there is more and more people in customs who takes money and helps Filipinos to pass the gate. the local agents and some contacts can do that.
it will be costing around 10000 peso.
u have to call the customs officer when you reach the airport he will do the rest all. and ones everything is done u hav to give him the money finally. i am very sorry for your country.i know many people who pass the gate through the support of customs officers.

There are no current NOTAMs (Notice To AirMen) listing the NDB off the air but there was one in January. CYWA PETAWAWA YWA- NDB 516 U/S 1401101604 TIL 1401312359. Looks like it dropped off the air on January 10th and was scheduled to be fixed by the end of the month.
Fight from Valladolid
I have taken the Ryanair flight to Barcelona.
The organization was really bad, they declared the flight ready for boarding 2 hours before the real boarding, bad organization.
Service availability
It appears impossible (1 March 2014) to book flights(April-May 2014) between SZB(Subang) and TOD, or SIN(Singapore) /XSP(Seletar) and TOD for any dates, so it seems Berjaya Air has discontinued its service. It would be very convenient to know if this is a permanent thing, and to know whether another carrier is likely to take up those routes.
Great City, which loose its glory
I born & brought-up from Boakro have seen a glorious years in nineties(when i was teen), I was growing up to adult and Bokaro was growing to its old age, it seems the city started to loosen up its glory day by day since late nineties.... don't know why!!!!!!!!!!, either it was due to the people started leaving the city after their retirement from SAIL or the next generation started leaving the city for the search for their livelihood in lack of good job opportunity & the higher education in the city, in fact I did the same, but I kept on visit to Bokaro ....... :-( :-( but I always felt something is missing, no holy/diwali/durgapuja fun, people going reserve in themselves by the day............ :-( :-( :-(, the neighboring cities are going high i.e. Dhanbad, Ranchi, TATA then why Bokaro is going down after having so much intellectual citizens, so as per my opinion Airport development is a big deal for Bokaro, where the city development has been put on halt...................just crossed my fingers to regain its glory again
Petawawa NDB (YWA) Not Heard Since beginning of 2014
Beginning in the early Fall to early Spring every year about and hour after sunset in Northern New Jersey I hear Petawawa NDB "YWA" on 516 kHz almost every evening dependng of propagation conditions. About the first week of January 2014 was the last time I've heard YWA. Is it off the air for maintenance or is it off the air for good. I sent and email to Petawawa Airport a few weeks ago but so far have not received any reply. If anyone knows what happened to YWA please post your reply here. Thanks & 73 George N2CG
