Jandakot is a Busy Airport
Statistically, this is Australia's busiest airport and it is primarily a VFR airport.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service has a base there and Singapore Airlines have some Learjets there for training but apart from that, the majority of aircraft operaing in and out of Jandakot are Cessna 152 / 172, Piper Warriors and the like.
Most of the traffic is pilot training, from ab-initio to twin IFR.
Many of the trainee pilots are foreign (China Southern has a flying school there) and their levels of English pronunciation and comprehension can vary significantly.
Air Traffic Control is generally very good but there is one miserable, rude, grumpy Tower Controller who is a disgrace to his profession. He is rude, bullying and tries very hard to intimidate pilots - especially the new ones. Fortunately, very senior management in Airservices Australia are aware of him and are monitoring his situation.
The bottom line with Jandakot is that it is a 'see and be seen' airport and you must keep your wits about you.
Make sure you read and understand the local procedures before you operate there.
Perth is a beautiful city and flying there is delightful. Jandakot is also a great airport, but like everything in aviation, it is unforgiving of inadequacy or un-preparedness.

Hopeless airport
That's a hopeless airport I have ever seen.A lot airport officials at TRZ don't know how to treat international passengers,they dont' even speak english properly .
Trichy doesn't deserve an international airport, probably the geographical location of the city is the reason for the introduction of international flight services. Also the taxi drivers outside the airport force people to hire taxi and some voluntarily do porter's service and later demand money.
I had a bad experience at Trichy airport.

if you are Vietnamese and/or have a lot of stuff in your bags. customs expects about $20 a person placed in passports. that will zip you through, money goes in a pool and everyone takes a share.

The ATC tower is superb!!!!!!! Even many new International routes have been started from this airport.

Please inform me of who now owns this facility and who the contacts are for major decisions. In the past Hoyt Bangs/Jason Warren/Lou Beemer as well as the pilots association made decisions. With Mr. Beemer now deceased who is the Owner/director.CEO?

Good service received
On Monday July 19th myself and a friend flew into Port Elgin airport. The plan was to go to lunch at Lord Elgin Fish and Chip Restaurant.
The gentleman on duty at the airfield, I believe his name was Bill , was kind enough to drop us at the restaurant on his way home for lunch, and then
pick us up on his return to work.
I needed fuel so I started up my plane and taxied over to the fuel pump. All gassed up now, and I was faced with a dead battery.
No worries . Bill initially tried to hand prop the plane , when that was unsuccessful he tried to charge the dead battery from the one in his truck. Unfortunately that didn’t work either , so he then boosted me with the truck. The engine roared to life and off we went.
Just wanted to thank him again for going above and beyond the call . Thanks Bill !!

last month nagpunta ang wife and kids ko d2 sa hk as tourist visa.and wla silang hassle.
pero nagsend ako ng affidavit of support na ginwa ko ived copied frokm internet samples and wrtite down my signature.
pero d naman hinigni sa misis ko.
ang manga ni ready ko if ever may super villain na officer are:
1. hk id copy
2.passport copy
3 affidavit of support with your contact number etc.
4: tenancy contract.
ived send them by email to my wife.
all of this are not asked by imkigration officer.

Crop dusters
Any regulations for crop dusters? One is flying so low over our house and trees. We have a licensed wildlife rehab and bird sanctuary, and our birds are actually getting hurt trying to avoid his regular low flyovers. Number C-GFTS.

Nice airport, stuff is friendly.
Landing, handling and parking for 3 days (2 nights) was 45 EUR
Taxi to Budva city is between 15 to 30 EUR.
