Great little air park

If looking for a getaway air park where you can boat, fish and hunt try here.

Neat location

One of the nicest all grass facilities I have ever seen. Recently visited for the Waco fly-in.

Tie-down fees at Millionaire

For a Piper Cherokee-sized plane, the tie-down fee is now $40/night, first night waived with at least 15 gal fuel purchase. Still a good deal for the NY area.

Jet Systems is now Signature West

I just talked to them, and there's still no charge for clearing customs there in a small single-engine piston plane, as long as you're not picking up or dropping off passengers. +1-914-428-3730

Tampa Bay Aviation - KCLW - Clearwater Airpark

Wanted to note the Airpark-KCLW has no ATC and only operates until 11 Pm and reopens at sunrise the following day..

Best Airport in the Bay Area for GA

In my opinion, this is the best airport in the Bay Area for general aviation aircraft. There is a 24 hour self service 100LL fuel, and Jet A is available 24 hours if you call ahead. If you don't call ahead for Jet A, the hours are 8AM to 8PM daily. The tie downs at transient parking are really cheap. 10 bucks a night for a single engine piston and 20 bucks a night for twins and jets. If there is not someone in the office inside the terminal, there is still a way to get ahold of one of the airport ops personal! There is a white box with a red button next to the window of the airports ops office in the terminal. Hold that red button down and when you hear a "beep" talk into the white box and your message will come through one of the airport ops's walkie talkies. ATC is always nice here, and if you don't know where your going, they are always glad to assist you. So if you own a small twin piston (C421) like me, avoid the ridiculous parking and ramp fees and San Jose International Airport KSJC and fly 5 miles south to Reid Hillview Airport KRHV and you will see the differences in quality, and the people there actually care about you unlike KSJC. Sometimes, there are people that marshall your aircraft and chalk your airplane for free if your a transient pilot! Just be sure to fly in IFR so they know you're coming :)

Easy Access

PNS has one Concourse, and one level. As opposed to KBNA, it is effortless to "deplane" & "grab" your checked luggage...transportation is 8 feet outside. T.S.A. Employees very nice, patient, educational. A pleasant "Initial Point of Contact" if visiting Pensacola &/or surrounding area.

Nice airport, got my class III here

John Schoettmer M.D. seems nice enough. He conducted my class III. He's also a retired AF F-16 pilot. Over-achiever if you ask me.

Client flight

I am working with a client for a visit to the Quoddy Lighthouse this July, 2015. If I can get her and her son into Bangor, is there a flight to this airport that will connect? Please advise.

Frenchies Flying School

Does anyone remember Arthur Plante AKA "Frenchy"? I learned to fly at No. Perry in 1968 at Frenchie's Flying School. He had stories that would keep you enthralled for hours together with his wife Bea. He had a unique style of teaching and if you couldn't learn from him, then you weren't cut out to fly. I still have my solo shirt with the tail cut off! He came with me on the first flight after I overhauled my 1947 Talorcraft BC12D. He asked me if I had done all the work properly and I said, yes I had and he said, we will find out! He did loops and rolls and spins and then told me I did a good job, and all this with an A65 engine. Great memories.

Westwood Corporation Heliport is no longer there

I believe this is referring to a circular location in front of 3030 SW Moody Ave in Portland, OR. There is a circular garden here now with some shrubs and trees. I would think that you wouldn't plant trees next to a helicopter landing pad.
