First time to visit here.
I had no trouble landing and departing Sovde. The grass strip was in good condition and plenty of room for my Cessna 310. Man named Jan came to see what was my trouble, and he was very nice. We enjoyed the 45 minutes we spent talking to him. I will visit there again on my next vacation to Europe.

Hey, I was stationed at Moron AFB 1961-1962 3973 csg Base Comm. Our barracks was right across from the base chapel, end of our barracks faced the motor pool and flight line. just like you i was scam also, it hurts, these people should be ashame of themselves, i did not send the $800, they was asking for this just happen to me. i paid a total of $265, just for the dogs, was supposed to be on a flight last night, owners tevting with all info even flight plans was email to me... Just found out this morning they never left and want additional monies... im so hurt by this i trusted them..

This airport in actually closed for aviation business[the runway now is part of a road].Please read my note on "Jardines del Rey" [CCC][MUCC] Cayo Coco's "NEW" airport.
Airport Name and IATA CODE update.
The oficial name is "Jardines Del Rey" /Cayo Coco [ NEW ]International airport and the IATA code is [CCC]/[MUCC] Transfered from the old airport with ICAO CODE [MUCO].

June 2011 - Great spot to land and a good spot to stay and enjoy outback hospitality. Warren at the local store is also the refueller and is a top bloke despite what the sign on the door says.
Quality of Excellence
Landed at Shepherd's Landing many times since the opening in 1997. Owner Garry Shepherd always has the grass well manicured, has beer in the fridge, steak on the barbie, and a smile on his face. 5 mins to the beach and bikinis. Cubs, Christavia,RVs,Cessnas,Pipers and a real nice Comanche 250 based on the field. Please call ahead before landing in case we are on the beach chasing bikinis.
Facilities
Great runway which is bitumen out in the middle of nowhere. Very obliging refueller who also owns the pub. Interesting dunny too.

Nice place!
Cute little airport, very well maintained and easy to find. Rather busy local traffic - lots of planes in the nearby Claremont training area and next to the lake Scugog - so keep listening (and advising) on the 122.9 before getting close to Lindsay. It is also a popular destination for the local "100$ hamburger" cross-countries, check out their restaurant next to the FBO! :-)

Two Tower Frequencies
There are two tower frequencies that should be noted. The east runway (31R/13L) is on 118.3. This is the frequency that should be used when departing this runway, or arriving from 0 to 179 degrees magnetic. The The west runway (31L/13R) is on 120.6. This is the frequency that should be used when departing this runway, or arriving from 180 to 359 degrees magnetic.

What a bonus!
I was on my way to New Plymouth when i saw the sign indicating an airfield "This Way". What is one to do on plane spotting tour of NZ? I'll give you three guesses! You'll only need one i think.
That was 4 years ago and i'm planning a further tour of NZ so any info of airfields anywhere in NZ, whether in the North or South Island much appreciated!

Arrester cables at CYBG
Watch out for arrester cables about 1500 from the tresholds, used for fighter jets. Even when they are lowered they are not something you want to roll over at high speed, especially with light GA aircraft. There are orange markers on each side of the runway at the cable positions.
There is a 20$ passenger fee but the terminal has free wifi and a reasonably cheap restaurant.

Dentro da TMA Vitoria, a pista e bem pavimentada, opera diurno apenas, administrado pela
Prefeitura local, não tem hangaragem coberta, mas e muito bem cuidado e vigiado. A praia do Morro (infelizmente horrÃvel) pode ser alcançada a pe, apenas alguns quarteirões. Não tem combustÃvel de forma regular. A cabeceira 06 e turbulenta a maior parte do ano, causa apenas algum incomodo no pouso com vento nordeste (predominante). Gastronomia em Guarapari, frutos do mar, praia, experimente Bacutia, mergulho, vá aos naufrágios Belucia e Victory, fuja do argentino.

The guy they have managing that place hates you and the world. He gets an attitude with just about everyone who stops in. If he hates people so much, why is he the manager of anything? What a bunch of sh*t. Doesn't belong in a public position with that attitude. Find out who owns the airport and file a complaint!
