Still in use?
This airport lies within the RAAF Edinburgh airspace and is no longer in use for general aviation. I guess it would do in an emergency. It is the location of the Bolly Aviation propellor business and still appears to be used by helicopters.
Neat location
One of the nicest all grass facilities I have ever seen. Recently visited for the Waco fly-in.

Considerable population travel from madurai to Gulf from TRIVANDRUM or TRICHY because of no international flight from Madurai. If started approx. 30% from Trivandrum, 30% from Trichy and 10% from Chennai travellers can easily opt to fly to Madurai as their Home city near Madurai. Expecting a positive update serve lot of travellers around Gulf

NICE AIRPORT
Great little airport - Noone home
Arrived on Friday evening at ~6pm from Barrie. No one was home to answer unicom. Landed and the terminal was empty, they close at 5pm but leave the front open for transient pilots to use the washrooms, get coffee, or borrow a bike if need be. Beware that means there is no one for the fuel pumps and it is $100 to call out (on top of fuel, not waved for min purchase) so if you're arriving after 5 plan accordingly for fuel.
Take off over lake Erie was fun! Great airport, will be back!

Lost laptop at airport in Kigali

I am looking for the contact information of the airport in Kigali. I found old numbers that do not work. I mysteriously lost my laptop during second check in point yesterday June 20 around 8:25 or 8:30 am. I flew on Kenya airways flight 448 to Bujumbura and last saw my laptop during security checking. The C.R.'s at Bacolod Airport
Can someone tell me why the washroom's/c.r.'s at Bacolod Airport are disgustingly dirty, outdated, have broken down plumbing, poor or none existent air conditioning? There should also be a maximum amount allowed to be charged by the taxi's from the airport to down town. 500 php is outrageous. 300 php is more reasonable.

For a Piper Cherokee-sized plane, the tie-down fee is now $40/night, first night waived with at least 15 gal fuel purchase. Still a good deal for the NY area.

UK Rally Visit 6th to 11th June
Now this is one superb airfield with hospitality second to none. We as rally members recommend this as a must to visit. The staff could not have been more helpful and the beer was cold. We used it as a hub to visit airfields within Croatia and Italy. The scenery is stunning. Thanks to all the folk who run the airfield. Approach into 36 downwind over the town again stunning.

Earlier this month we flew to and from Copenhagen from Edinburgh with Easyjet. Having flown with Easyjet previously we were not surprised by the flight. However what did surprise us was the F gates at Copenhagen Airport. Firstly they are about 20 minutes walk with only assistance for part of the way and secondly the F satellite is about as basic as it could have been made. This is after all a permanent installation and to have insufficient seats and toilets is totally unacceptable. I would suggest that if you are flying to Copenhagen do not go with Easyjet or Ryanair.

Aurangabad Airport
If this airport become an international, we may see lot of traffic in near future. Since Aurangabad city is on of the historical city in India and there are many visitors coming to see world famous heritage Ellora, Ajanta, Bibi ka Makbara, Panchanki and historical gates etc. Moreover thousands of Marathwada people working in abroad mostly in Middle East (Gulf) so if international flight start to operate from IXU it can easily provide more employment opportunities to Marathwada people. There will be more five star hotels can open easily if the city connected to international airport. Aurangabad must have one big passport office in order to reduce more burden from Mumbai passport office as well as to give relief to marathwada people require to travel to Mumbai to obtain Passport.

Highway Airstrips in Cuba
All highway airstrips in Cuba are DAAFAR (Cuban Air and air defense forces) alternate airfields, and should be categorized as Military alternate airfields. These are established for wartime use, a practice adopted from the Soviet Union, and lesson of the "Bay Pigs" invasion attempt. They are stretches of roadways (usually national highways) that are long straightaways that can be used by military aircraft. The runway of the closed Cayo Coco airport was incorporated into a new national highway for just this reason. Landing at these alternate airfields is a regular part of DAAFAR pilot training. Civilian use of these roadway alternate airfields is strictly prohibited.

I just wanted to state that I've also bin able to hear YWA even in the warmer months, although not as often and not as strong as in the Winter. Additionally, in the warmer months there is usually lightening strike noise to contend with. I monitor 516 kHz several times each night for YWA and about one every two weeks or so in the warmer months I cam hear it. More frequently I hear NAVTEX in 518 coming through all year round. I monitor YWA for year round MF propagation study. 73, George N2CG

What is the point of simply listing all the flights coming in without providing any search facilities. I am trying to find out if there is a flight coming in from the DRC today and I have to scroll through endless lists. Surely it would be very simple to add a few search criteria such as departure airport, local or international, airline etc.

Not allowed to travel
My niece was supposed to board Tiger flight to SG tonight at 2215H. Pero di sya pinayagan ng Immigration officer sa NAIA terminal 1. Ang dami hinihinging documents. I'm working in SG and i invited her to visit me june 11-14. I gave her a letter of invitation. She needs daw birth certs to prove na pamangkin ko sya. She missed her flight. And i'm sure we will need to pay extra for her fare. Our immigration officers should be strict, that i understand...pero sana unawain nyo ang sitwasyon ng bawat pasahero. Intindihin nyo muna. Hindi lahat ng tao eh nagssinungaling at gumagawa ng pekeng papeles. Mgbbakasyon lng yung tao. Ngayon, pagbbayarin nyo p kmi ulit ng pamasahe! Bwisit!
Drabhanga Airport
I am living in Bahrain and have a base in New Delhi. However I hail from Darbhanga. The bridge between Patna & Hazipur is in such a bad state that twice I almost missed my flight. I manage to catch these flights since flight was delayed. I am unable to understand if Kutch ( In remote area of Gujarat) can have airport & three weekly flight. Why cannot we have at least one or two flight a week to darbhanga?

Good airport, well set up for what it does. If you are able, spend the CUC$20 per person to go into the lounge area. Air conditioned, unlimited drinks, light snacks and hot sandwiches included in the price.

I should have listened. Waste of time! Rude worker or owner! I don't know which. Guess they are trying to sell it so don't care anymore. Who would buy it in its current shape???? Niagara on the Lake is THE place to go and just a few minutes away as the plane flies!!!!
