Romo Beach Airstrip is used for military training for the Danish Air Force. It's also used for car shows. Planes like the A400M or the C-130 land here. Btw, the ICAO code is wrong, there is a Mod in MSFS 2024 that has that code, but it isn't official. So, if you know an official code, tell me.
Valunistoe (airport)
It is located exactly in the area of the “Valunistoe” gold-silver deposit (Валунистое месторождение), operated by the company ООО «Rudnik Valunisty».
In Russian documents, it is referred to as a «взлётно-посадочная площадка на месторождении», meaning a takeoff-and-landing strip at the mining site, not an actual airport.
Agencies such as TASS regularly mention flights “Anadyr – Rudnik Valunisty”, meaning there is (or was) a regular or charter connection from Anadyr directly to the “Rudnik Valunisty” mining site, but it is always described as a mine destination, not as a certified airport.

Reply to @david: Update, apparently a Caterpillar worked digging up the runway for about a week in the early 90s, so that fixed-wing aircraft other than helicopters could land. After that, the airfield fell into disuse, and weeds grew unchecked. A local states that the Malawi government at the time transported weapons and food items via the airport at night. This airfield probably got caught up in the Mozambican Civil War which went on from 1976 until 1992.

Reply to @david: Historical satellite imagery available on Google earth actually reveal that there use be two runways here, one around 1000m in length facing SE/NW and one also 1000m facing NE/SW. Based on the colorization, they appeared to either have a graveled or dirt surface. Whatever airport use to exist here seems to have disappeared from urban encroachment by 2006.

My father flew BAC 1-11 for Air Malawi for a couple of years in the mid-70s and I remember the Chileka Club well, and was just trying to find the Air Malawi house where we lived not far away. I went to St Andrews for a year then we sadly had to go back to the UK! My brother Richard headed back when he was 19 and has lived ever since in Livingstone and Lusaka, Zambia. He founded and owns Fawlty Towers Lodge in Livingstone.

Caboolture’s first airstrip was constructed some time before 1965 by Norman Douglas Thurecht. The initial site of Redcliffe was denied permission due to proximity to Brisbane airports and a lack of radar coverage. Following the construction of Redcliffe Aerodrome, the Caboolture airstrip was abandoned and its operations moved to the new site.

Once served by Commodore Aviation Aero Ae-45 aircraft alongside Althorpe Island Airstrip. They began the route in 1963. Aircraft flew in mail, supplies and personnel from and to the lighthouse on the island. It is now abandoned and the helicopter landing pad has since taken over flights.

Mjd Airport was apparently activated in October 1994 and was privately-owned by Martin J. Dureiko, according to AirNav. It was not depicted in a 1988 topographic map of Miami, and was depicted in a 2012 topographic map. There is a coverage gap of the area between 1988 and 2012. By 2009, the airstrip appeared derelict and disused, with multiple obstructions piling up over the years.
Brief History
Holley Landing Strip was also known as Holley Dusting Field. It did not appear in a 1982 topographic map of Homestead, but it did appear in a 1988 topographic map. There are no maps of the area between 1982 and 1988 that are available on USGS, indicating that the airstrip was established between 1982-88. The airfield likely closed between 2007 and 2009, as a plantation appeared on the runway by then. It was still depicted in 2012, and did not appear from the 2015 onwards.

On 24 September, 1969, a Cessna 182A (now registered as VH-WCC) was listed as belonging to Kulnura resident Alexander Swinton. On 28 April, 1972, he applied for a forest lease for a small portion of land belonging to the McPherson State Forest to construct an airstrip and hangar. On 7 September, 1973, a land lease for 8 hectares was approved by the Department of Conservation, Sydney, as Forest Lease No. 184 under the Forestry Act 1916. The lease rental had cost $20 per year, and the term lasted for 20 years, expiring by September 1993. This airfield was owned by Alexander & Mona Swinton.

11/sect/2021 As part of the radio navigation aid decommissioning program carried out by ENAV in accordance with European regulations for the transition to PBN procedures, on September 9, 2021, the Bari Locator ‘BPL’ 401.00 kHz and the Sorrento NDB ‘SOR’ 426.00 kHz were officially shut down. Consequently, all NDB STARs, NDB SIDs (L) 07 and 25, RNAV DIVKU 3F, and ILS/LOC X 07 and L 07 procedures at Bari have been suspended. The navigation aids were turned off via NOTAM, and after an impact assessment period, their permanent removal will be made official in the AIP through the AIRAC cycle.
The next scheduled shutdowns involve the Locators and NDBs of Falconara (November 4), Turin (November 4), Linate (December 2), and Pescara (December 2), followed by Perugia, Reggio Calabria, Voghera, and Genoa by the end of the year.

Nicest terminal i ever saw !
In the moment there are only four Binter flights a day. TFN and LPA twic a day by Binter.
The entrance is build like a cathedral entrance. Inside you will find open water, a bar / cafe and car rental.
There is one window not darkened where you can take pictures, but expect no traffic. I saw a Tecnam there.

The airport was built by Alvaro Rodriguez Lopez (1885-1958) as a private field. He was in business with Thomas Olsen (Fred Olsen) and planted a lot of bananas and tomatoes in southern La Gomera. The road construction to the airport was very demanding. Its impossible to drive along, maybe with an Enduro bike. You will find a gravel runway, a tower and a hangar big enough for a Beech 18. Its a very remote place but absolutely worth to go to!
Reports say that something like Britten Norman Islanders and Mitsubishi MU-2 landed there. It is also reported that they had to leave the runway uphill for building up enough speed for departure.
On sundays you will find hunters there shooting canejos. Can be a bit scary but they are very friendly.

A charming jewel on the edge of Nebraska
Eppley is, for some reason, one of my favourite airports. It's small and easy to navigate, short on facilities, but big on charm. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is very peaceful on account of its light flight schedule. Its record annual passenger number is just over 5,000,000, so it's not a major hub and is totally free of the hustle and bustle you find in the airports of most major cities.
According to Wikipedia, it is ranked as the 61st busiest airport in the United States, but the number of passengers quoted on that list is less than half of what the airport itself claims. If we take the airport's figures as gospel, then it would rank as the 46th busiest airport in the US, but it's likely the numbers from airports surrounding it on the list are also higher than Wikipedia thinks.
For context, the top three airports by passenger numbers in 2024 were Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Dubai, and Dallas Fort Worth with 108,067,766, 92,300,000, and 87,817,864, respectively.
Easy-to-use, but light on facilities
The fact that Dresden airport is still operational is a blessing for locals of the Saxon capital, but it is unfortunately vastly underused and massively underserved. Landsie facilities are sparse, with the ground level dotted with car rental kiosks, an information desk (for lost baggage and onward transport info, and the odd souvenir), and a newsagent that serves coffee (when it's open, which it isn't often). If you do want a warm drink before you go through security, there are a couple of machines, but they only take coins (no card). If you only have notes on you, there is a change machine to the left of the info desk as you enter the airport from the car park. Trains to the centre of Dresden (which stop in Neustadt and HbF) are found downstairs and run 18 and 48 minutes past the hour. Check in and security are on the first floor, and they are generally a doddle to clear. The only time you'd expect to wait is when you find yourself checking in with one of the three daily flights to Palma de Mallorca. Beyond that frequent shuttle service, not many end destinations are well served. There are regular flights to Frankfurt, Münich, and Düsseldorf, from which you can get pretty much anywhere with ease. There are a few flights a week to Zürich, and a relatively regular service to London Stansted throughout the summer, but the frequency is unreliable in the off-season.
There have been whispers for years that the airport will close, and the lack of investment in services doesn't bode well for that, but a connection to Antalya in Turkey was added recently, so maybe that's a good sign.
Airside, there is no external smoking area, but a small, ventilated cubicle has been added. There's a decent coffee shop, a small but well-stocked Duty Free, and a newsagent with souvenirs. It feels more like a bus terminal than an airport in many ways, which is no bad thing for frequent fliers. It's no frills, but no nonsense also. I have a soft spot for it as it's my local airport, but I do wish a few more connections to the UK and Ireland were added, and a direct daily flight to Geneva would be a Godsend for me. I'm not holding out hope for those to be added any time soon, though.

Another consideration is to change all the letter " İ " to the standard letter " I ". Searching for this airport on a standard English keyboard does not find it. For my database application I just do a search and replace on all of them in the csv file. Simple solution.
