when the hell the airport in amravati will get ready for domestic operations, what is happening to the taxtile prak/zone already announced by the government in amravati, when the work of textile park will start in amravati,wagon repair factory is still struggling for the land better they take land in amravati sez or give proper land rates to the farmers. amravati narkhed line is not yet inagurated means some work is remaining, even the amravati nagpur 4 laning is not yet completed, still the work is going on, get all the works done as soon as possible,bdl missile unit has not yet started the work on the site as they have announced that the work will start from april2012, now it's end of june 2012, developement work is very slow, need to make it speedy and with the super fast pace. even the 2 nd phase of acquiring land for the airport, when the airport will become operational. tapi dam project when it will start. as it has potential of providing water for irrigation,industries and drinking.

Curiosity: Trees that used to make landing difficult in the early days where only possibly to remove due to a legal loop hole: tree protection orders in UK are re-issued every so often, but it lapsed just before xmas holiday and the owner knew the issuing authorities were all off and wouldn't return to re-issue another one until the new year so he managed to cut down the offending trees in that time.

Great airport for a rest and fuel stop, the staff, service and facilities at Berstrom are great.
Hotel Rooms
Don't plan on stopping here unless you have a room reservation. The oil industry has every hotel booked solid, there must be at least 25 hotels in town. Thanks to the great people at Bismark Aero Center who saved the day. They have a sleep room with two beds and courtesy cars. Lack of accomodations is a problem at many towns in North Dakota.

vidharbha must be seperated if illtreated or becoming a victim of injustice in maharastra anyway it's far from the capital mumbai so it's better to make it seperate nobody from the government is interested to travel to vidhrbha and give fund for it's developement better to declair a seperate state of vidhrbha.

amravati region in maharastra is known for high production of cotton still government of maharastra has approved only 1 textile park in vidharbha, however where in western maharastra there is no cotton production govermnet has approved 6-7 textile parks. how long will this injustice will be done with vidharbha and the people of vidhrbha.if you keep on doing like this people of vidhrbha will destroy,mumbai,pune and baramati. enough is enough.

according to cag report almost all the midc's in amravati dsitrict are not developed by maharastra government those lands are acquired are just barren lands without any industries, so the need of developeing industries and cosntructing a operational domestic airport in amravati is the need of the hour and the report also mention that due to lack of water industries are not ready to come to amravati sez. so what the hell is government of maharastra doing.
Complain about Fighter Jets Overheads
I'm a resident of The Centris & have moved in for 3 years now. After the kite flying activity was stopped, the jets are flying lower.
Initially, the fighter jets were flying much higher in altitude but nowadays they are screaming over my Penthouse unit in Block 75.

amravati airport and amravati sez are very important issues of developement in vidharbha, mihan in nagpur is a also a very important project in vidharbha government must complete these projects as early as possible for branding of mihan,AMRAVATI SEZ,AMRAVATI AIRPORT. lets brand maharastra rule in india, but after the developement or existtance of the things we can look/go for branding,right. you can show brand of uncompleted things.

Wowwww....How this airport has changed from my wonderful memories of it flying the RAF's AVRO Shackleton aircraft out of there from 1957 to 1960.......and the RAF's Handley Page MK4 (VIP) aircraft (the private aircraft of the British Commander-in-Chief Far East - Adm Sir David LUCE) from 1961 to 1964. THREE parallel runways now no less. What a wonderful airport now INDEED. Think the Control Tower is located just about where we used to take our young children swimming on 'Changi Beach'? Visited the other day
Was a Friday. VFR and gorgeous day. Saw about 8 airplanes tied down. None of them looked like they were airworthy except a cub well maintained. Many had flat tires. The "FBO" was open but deserted. Some bottled water and an old broken microwave. No plumbing/running water. The hanger was locked but I could see inside there were some planes in there. In the one hour i was there, not a soul came by, drove by, or landed. My dog and I sat on the picnic bench and had some lunch. I was dreaming about turning this place into something that people could enjoy. Maybe a small greasy spoon eatery. Or give "Cub" rides on Sundays for $5 like the 30s. I hate to see small grassroots airports wither away, but such is General Aviation really. Not enough people interested to pass the torch.... Anwyay, hung out with hope, but finally departed to visit another lonely airport a few miles away - Newton. Even more deserted.
Corman Air Park
Corman Air Park is a small privately owned and operated aerodrome near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is open to the general public and is suitable for light aircraft of up to about 6 seats (2600 ft. runway).
Pilots are encouraged to fly here and the general public to fly in, drive in, cycle in, walk in...... are all encouraged to come out and find out what REAL aviation is all about.
Every year the Air Park is host to It's annual Fly N' Fair. It is really a "50 year past" event and is very reminiscent of what a real country fair was back then. It's a lot of very relaxing fun for everyone that attends.
It runs every year from June 30 to July 1 with a free and very spectacular fireworks display at dusk on June 30.
There is no admission charge but the Canadian Air Cadets are in charge of parking and they charge $5/car.

Reply to @david: That surprises me because Alexandria Bay is a tiny airport compared to Watertown. It's also PPR, and not listed as an AOE by the FAA. I think that listing may be for boats. The FAA still lists KART as an AOE, and like most small airports you have to call the nearest customs office 2 hours ahead of time.

amravati is one of the major and bigger cities, it is developed just because of the business like wholesale clothe markets,wholesale medicine,fruits,cotton,vegetables,oranges.agriculture is other main business in the district,oranges in fruits is the main business in the district other than oranages it's famosu for huge cotton production, the city is not developeing as there are no industries and a working/operational airport. it's also famous for the educational institutions available in the city.lot of engineering,medical,dental,mca,mba,bca,bba,law,iti,polytechinc colleges are available there, a college for mass communication approved be central government has also been started in the city which brings a great reputation to education facilities in amravati city, a FM radio station is also started here.only thing which is a big problem in the developement of the city is no industries other than a thermal power station and no operational airport.government of mahrastra must take initiative develope industries and airport as quickly as possible. the work of sez and airport is also going on but it's around 3-4 years still there is not much developement in this matter.need to focus on airport and industries.once it get's some industries and airport then it will start developeing properly. building construction is also become a major business here as lot of builders have started there construction almost in every part of the city. it's a good sign of developement.now focus should be on airport and indurstries. textile park/zone must be started as soon as possible as already announced.
